It was blindingly obvious right from the beginning that no matter what logic and morality was ranged against it this war was going to go ahead. And that's not the worst part. As far as I can see all the evidence points to this being just the first domino in a determined US attempt to rearrange the Middle East for its own convenience. US newspapers have already been carrying outraged stories about Iran experiementing with enriched uranium: something Iran itself has announced and which is part of its perfectly legal and reasonable attempts to improve its own power supply. What's the betting Iran is next on the list? Especially when the 60+% of the Iraqi population that's Shi'ite seeks to determine its own government after Bush is through bombing the innocent. Can't have that, can we?
