Soup season

It's now quite cool in the mornings and evenings and warm during the day which is a lovely combination. I've been making nothing but salads since December, but when I made my meal plan this week, it definitely felt like hot meal time.

This is nice because I spend all winter longing for salad, and all summer longing for soup. So since my fruit and vegetable delivery service had a special on carrots (a remarkable $1/kilo (less than 50 cents/pound), I kicked off soup season with a giant bowl of curried carrot soup. Some we'll eat tonight, the rest will go in the freezer and at some point in the future I'll be thanking my past self for my carroty efforts.

Sounds delicious! It's the start of allergies season here now. The flip in seasons feels stranger to me than the time difference lol

I do that too, switch from soup to salads vs. the season. :)
It just makes sense right!

You must be loving the cool mornings, that always feels so refreshing after a warm summer. And here in the morning the heater stopped clicking on for the last few days. And the seasons, they are a changing. Enjoy your soup while I start making salads, hee hee.

Awesome! I'm not much of a soup person, but lately I can appreciate it a little more. (especially tom yum soup!)
