Tom yum is so good! I also like to make laksa, particularly assam laksa. In Australasia Thai and Malaysian food's very popular - Thai restaurants in particular have the place in the culture that Chinese restaurants do in the US. (We also have a lot of Chinese restaurants in Auckland as we have a large Chinese population, but the restaurants tend to be more the genuine hole in-the-wall dumpling type places rather than the fancier Westernised type you find in other Western countries.)
