The Greetings Of The Season Thereof

It's been A Week. My mother had an emergency hospital admission, which in the middle of a Covid wave meant she was stuck in the ED overnight before she could get a bed on a ward. It looked like it might be something that has a 30% fatality rate, but luckily it turned out to be a lot less serious, and she was home again after a three-day stay with IV fluids and antibiotics. Then I had a particularly severe vaccine reaction that knocked me flat with a high fever. We're both fine now, and Mum even avoided getting Covid, but it wasn't really what I needed the week before Christmas, especially with clients wanting last-minute stuff meaning we're working long hours right down to the wire. Our clients are shut for the two weeks following Christmas and I cannot wait. I'm going to wish everyone happy holidays and get out of here before something else happens. I don't want to go anywhere near a computer for a while, so I hope you all enjoy whatever you celebrate and I'll catch you on the flipside.

Oh dear! That is a lot to happen at once. I am dreading getting a Covid booster. Relieved to hear your mom is okay, whew.

Happy Holidays!

hugs, helen

Oh that is good you are getting those Shingrix jabs. I did that years ago and it relieved my mind. Thank you for telling me as I would skip this Covid booster but with Gene getting the hip replacement surgery, he really wants me to get it.

Hugs, helen
