Just in case today's Supreme Court decision didn't make today bad enough for you, the day has also been marked by Q posting for the first time since 2020.

Since the last Q drop, QAnon has gone from the lunatic fringe to a belief system embraced by a significant section of the GOP, including two people currently elected to Congress. 26 more are running this year, including Ron Watkins, son of the owner of scurrilous message board 8kun and the person identified as making most of the drops purporting to come from a mysterious government insider.

I've been keeping tabs on QAnon for more than two years now, and when I started people scoffed when I said they were dangerous. After Feb 6, there's been a lot less scoffing, but despite their attempted coup, including the planting of bombs, I still don't think most people realise what a threat they are. The one bright spot was that since the Q drops stopped the cult had lost momentum.

The last thing we need is for these people to get reenergised. They're far too dangerous to American democracy. And that's careering down the hill towards a fascist theocracy without any extra help.
