The problem with the nurse is that we're in the middle of New Zealand's very first Covid surge, with a high rate of disease because very few people here have had Covid previously. With Omicron's infectiousness and speed of transmission people are getting infected and passing it on more quickly than they can be tested. The nurse went into isolation once she got her diagnosis, but had been infectious prior to that.
