Aha, yes, I can answer that! Good to know my obsessive Googling might be useful:). There doesn't seem to be any relationship between the severity of the Covid and the severity of the long Covid. However, the worse the Covid, the more likely you are to get long Covid. What they're not sure about yet is just how high the risk is. Estimates have ranged between 1 in 10 and 5 in 10. It also may turn out to be several different diseases under the one umbrella, as people have quite a wide range of different symptoms, in the respiratory system, the brain, the cardiovascular system and heart, the kidneys, the gut, the liver, and the skin.
