I went to visit that site. It's rather unbelievable. Wouldn't it just make burglaries potentially so much worse (for the sorts of people who might like to wear 'Dad' around their neck on a piece of string, that is)? How would you insure the item? Also, could you distil their superpowers into the gem, and then be able to harnes their secret powers through them? IE if 'Mum' was a champion shotput thrower in her day, would you be able to draw on the Mum strength from your diamond tiara when you were attempting to open an especially tricky jam jar? Could someone replace me one day with a sparkly thing? If I get eaten by tigers, they won't have the opportunity.
