No Exceptions

At Alert Level 2, our cafes are open but because the tables have to be spaced out 2 metres apart, their capacity is a lot more limited than usual. Our PM Jacinda Arden was spotted yesterday morning with her partner and some friends having to queue outside a cafe because it was full. Lol! It's really hard to imagine this happening in any other Western country, but while other heads of state would no doubt expect to take priority everywhere, Kiwis would have thought the Prime Minister was massively up herself if she'd jumped the queue. Good call, Jacinda.

Just to prove that Trump-style idiocy knows no borders, apparently there were twentyish people in the city today protesting that Auckland should be opened up.

Um, Auckland is open. The only things still closed are bars and churches, and they're due to open shortly. Sigh. At least they weren't carrying assault rifles.
