All about that paste
Apr. 2nd, 2020 12:01 amEvery year around this time I make quince paste. There's only one place I know of in Auckland that sells quinces and it's all the way across Auckland and into the country. Normally we go at the weekend, have lunch out there and make a thing of it. We were all set to do that a couple of weeks ago, but I suddenly decided to go earlier during the week just in case. It seemed like bit of an overreaction at the time, but I was glad I did, as by the following Saturday when I was originally planning to go I was in quarantine.

We might be stuck inside on home detention, but at least our cheese tastes nice.
