The end of the road

The end product of half of that beautiful spring damson plum blossom was some very happy birds. I greatly enjoyed watching them efficiently nom their half of the plums.

And the end product of my half:



It looks a bit black in the photo, but really it's the deepest possible purple. Mmmm. Tart, delicious, and definitely not available in a store near you. Normally I'd wait until a bit later in the year to make it, as it's not the most fun in late-summer heat, but I needed to clear the space in the freezer for everyone's current favourite flavour, Coronavirus Soup.
