Big Feet, Flappy Ears And A Purr

I'm a bit tired today. Go on, ask me. Ask me why I'm a bit tired.

Why am I tired, I hear you say? I'm glad you asked. It's because yesterday I scrubbed an elephant.

Elephants' hides are harder than they look. They're quite bristly. Elephants' tails are decorated with hairs with the same consistency as fishing line, and they can knock you over if you're not looking in the right direction. Their feet are flat, and you can push the sole as hard as you like (the elephant won't mind) and get a slightly sproingy sensation. Their roar is exactly like the loudest outboard engine in the world. Their ears are so heavy that you need to use both hands to lift them up when you're scrubbing them. When you're scrubbing an elephant.

Then when the elephant was scrubbed to its satisfaction, I went on to patting a cheetah. Cheetahs' coats are soft, and they like being patted so much they purr thunderously.

If you ever get the opportunity to scrub an elephant or pat a cheetah, grab it (and the elephant and the cheetah) with both hands. Good for the elephant. Good for the cheetah. Out of this world for you.

Tour-thing. (http://www.aucklandzoo.co.nz/functions/index.php?PHPSESSID=1ba004efe75e7765d5474ae968cff545#zoom) So amazing was it that today I'm pricing tours to India to see more.

Do they need to be scrubbed, or are we merely imposing human standards of personal hygiene on them?

It's not for cleanliness, which is good because they instantly go outside and throw sand on themselves. It's for much-needed exfoliation.

Ah! I do know that feeling actually. I can relate.
