Literary Update

Mark Haddon's A Spot Of Bother contains not only sublime writing from stem to stern, but also the most striking description of life ever, to wit:

"...everyone was frolicking in a summer meadow surrounded by a dark and impenetrable forest, waiting for that grim day on which they were dragged into the dark beyond the trees and individually butchered."

Cheers! Happy New Year!

Now I'm inhaling the collected works of Mr L Snicket, which I also highly recommend. I was having enough fun with the literary allusions, but when he started cracking dirty jokes in French, I was irretrievably his.

Both of those sound like things I'd very much enjoy. On the list. Also hoping to shop for echinacea today if I can fit it in. Also, cable clips.
