Shake, rattle and roll
Good God, Jacinda has made global news again, this time for being unrattled when an earthquake hit during a live interview. Presumably people who found this remarkable don't live in earthquake zones, as this is definitely no biggie for Wellington. I've spent periods down there for work, and I've never visited and not had an earthquake happen. People in Wellington don't even look up from their screens unless the ceiling's actually falling in. Up here in Auckland earthquakes are rarer, although we had a fun one a few years ago where my house moved rapidly back and forth exactly as if a large vehicle had hit it. On the other hand, in Auckland we live in the middle of a 50-volcano volcanic field, which isn't extinct, only dormant. It's nonstop excitement in the Shaky Isles.
