Last day NZ had a Covid case they couldn't link to someone coming in from overseas or a known cluster: April 2
Percent of population agreeing "going hard, going early" lockdown was a good plan: 91.6
Poll percentage choosing Jacinda Ardern as preferred Prime Minister: 59.5
Percentage point increase over her standing in previous polling: 20.8
Poll percentage favouring Jacinda's party: 56.5
Poll percentage favouring shouty opposition party whining about the lockdown: 30.6
If election were held today, number of seats Jacinda's party would get versus shouty opposition party: 72/39.
What lovely numbers. Let's just hope they hold fast until the election in September. I do not want to go through the coming economic shitshow under a right-wing government.
