I've lived in New Zealand since I was very young, but I was born in the UK and have a strong family history there. My family has lived in London from at least as far back as my great-great-grandparents and probably a lot further. I've lived and worked in the UK for periods and in some ways, in the usual way of a transplant, it feels more like home than New Zealand does even though I've lived in New Zealand for much longer.

Today, however, the UK has decided to cast its lot in with a fascist who has already tried to unseat the apparatus of democracy and intends to lead the UK out of Europe and over a cliff. I don't know what's happened to modern Britain, but I want no part of it. Considering burning my British passport.
